Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute capital enhancement projects.
  • Conduct SAP routings and capacity assessments.
  • Provide shop floor support for daily operational challenges.
  • Assist in the quoting process within the operations team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives on new processes, leveraging lessons learned to meet plant objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues.
  • Design machinery, controls, fixtures, tooling, and gauging systems.
  • Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programming.
  • Guide suppliers in the design of tools and fixtures.
  • Ensure that fixtures and tools comply with quality and safety standards.
  • Support the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Create documentation for manufacturing operations, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), control plans, and PFMEAs.
  • Design and discuss plant layout and area optimization.
  • Assist with technical inquiries from vendors to support the purchasing department.
  • Lead the quoting process for customer-owned tooling, including both acquisition and modifications, in collaboration with purchasing.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering roles.
  • Proficient in advanced programmable logic controllers (PLC) and HMI programming.
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory; sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.

Preferred:

  • 7 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Experience in rubber extrusion and vulcanization processes.
