- Plan and execute capital enhancement projects.
- Conduct SAP routings and capacity assessments.
- Provide shop floor support for daily operational challenges.
- Assist in the quoting process within the operations team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives on new processes, leveraging lessons learned to meet plant objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues.
- Design machinery, controls, fixtures, tooling, and gauging systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programming.
- Guide suppliers in the design of tools and fixtures.
- Ensure that fixtures and tools comply with quality and safety standards.
- Support the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Create documentation for manufacturing operations, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), control plans, and PFMEAs.
- Design and discuss plant layout and area optimization.
- Assist with technical inquiries from vendors to support the purchasing department.
- Lead the quoting process for customer-owned tooling, including both acquisition and modifications, in collaboration with purchasing.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering roles.
- Proficient in advanced programmable logic controllers (PLC) and HMI programming.
- Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory; sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
Preferred:
- 7 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience in rubber extrusion and vulcanization processes.
