Our client is seeking a dedicated Technical Trainer to provide essential administrative support to the Employee Relations and Training Branch (ERTB). This position plays a crucial role in overseeing training operations and supporting internal staff and leadership.

*Position Overview:*

As a Technical Trainer, you will manage intricate processes including training procedures, outbound correspondence, and collaboration with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include overseeing training events, managing documentation, and supporting various training programs. This encompasses the integration of a newly implemented tax system, New Employee Onboarding, and other training initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-level administrative support to Administrative Branch Manager and team members.

Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and tracking.

Coordinate training events, including room reservations, equipment setup, and participant communication.

Assist in updating internal documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.

Develop, update, and proofread outbound correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Support the design and facilitation of training sessions, including logistical support and learner assistance.

Assist in answering training questions including, but not limited to, those incoming to the DOR Training mailbox.

Manage tasks in the Learning Management System (LMS) ensuring precision and adherence.

Update departmental websites and SharePoint sites with relevant information.

Train learners using a variety of delivery methods.

Actively seek and complete professional development opportunities.

Complete other duties as required.

*Required Skills:*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Forms, Teams)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsiveness to virtual communications while working remotely.

Ability to adapt training approaches to meet the needs of different audiences.

*Preferred Skills:*

Experience with ordering supplies.

Experience in designing and delivering training using diverse methods.

Strong presentation and facilitation skills

Familiarity with instructional design principles

Experience with survey development tools (e.g., Mentimeter)

Familiarity with course creation platforms (e.g., Articulate 360)

Knowledge of Learning Management Systems

Understanding of IRS Publication 1075 and systems handling Federal Tax Information (FTI)
