This position is 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) and is Monday-Friday days.POSITION SUMMARYThe Patient Access Specialist is responsible for providing assistance to the patients seeking services within the Rehabilitation Department which includes the following Therapies: Occupational, Physical, and Speech. Primary responsibilities include: registration and scheduling of appointments, collection of copays, verification of demographic information, prior authorization for therapy treatment at PRH and PRHC in Beaver Dam and Sun Prairie, obtaining physician certification for therapy plan of treatment for both PRH and PRHC in Beaver Dam and Sun Prairie, and billing reconciliation. The Patient Access Specialist will need to be able to work in all three locations PRH, PRHC Beaver Dam, and Sun Prairie if staffing needs are needed due to vacation or sick calls. The Patient Access Specialist will also perform other duties within the Rehabilitation Department as assigned such as ordering and stocking of supplies, setting up FOTO for assigned patients, assisting therapists as needed, e.g., following patients with a wheelchair for safety when ambulating with a therapist, and cleaning tasks. The person in the position may also remotely assist the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department with workqueue completion, billing reconciliation, and ordering of supplies and the Audiology Department by taking calls and communicating with the Audiology provider.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONHigh school diplomaComputer knowledge preferredExperience in healthcare setting preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in customer service preferredKnowledge of basic medical terminology preferredShift: The primary schedule will be 6AM-2:30PM, Monday-Friday.FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
