SUMMARY
Under supervision, provides administrative and technical assistance in support for the human resources function, through servicing employees, managers and internal human resources partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the onboarding process for new hires including scheduling drug screens, backgrounds, and orientation coordination.
- Enters data and processes new hires and other employee and manager transactions in the system of record.
- Acts as a resource to employees and managers on routine human resources matters via the HR Help Line, fax, and email; communicates and interprets human resource policies, procedures, and practices to leadership and employees.
- Maintains basic knowledge of various programs human resources supports; referring employees and specialized resources or leaders when appropriate
- Sorts and distributes departmental mail
- Assists in the administration of assigned programs.
- Collaborates with business partners from the human resources, payroll, safety and fleet teams to assist employees and leadership, and to support the administration of various programs and policies.
- Prepares reports
- Performs routine audits
- Assists in processing of departmental bills
- Organizes and orders departmental supplies
- Participates in special projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate degree in business or related field required; Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, related field desired, or equivalent experience
- Previous administrative support and/or data entry experience highly desired, but not required.
- Ability to accurately enter a high volume of data, consistently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills; ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of individuals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic to proficient computer skills (MS Office)
Bilingual (Spanish) desirable, but not required.
