Description

Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager(AAM). This position is responsible to support the client service needs of Account Managers (AM) or Account Executives (AE), with a path to become an independent Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Processing Duties
    1. Process policies and endorsements for a designated book of business.
    2. Input DEAD/LOST activities, per procedure.
    3. Review and process audits.
    4. Process direct notice of cancellations and reinstatements (DNOC/REIN) per workflow.
  2. Renewal/Rewrite Work
    1. Complete the RNPR process, including SOVs, drivers' lists, etc., as directed by AMs.
    2. Calculate Replacement Cost Estimators as needed.
    3. Create Summaries of Coverage, including review questionnaire, for client meetings.
    4. Participate in client reviews or be debriefed on meeting.
    5. Order and review renewals for accuracy (utilizing Renewal Manager)
    6. Assist in rewrite/renewal process by pulling loss runs, prior years' applications, send narrative for Risk Consultant to update, send documents/applications via Indio, etc.
  3. Client Requests
    1. Order changes, as directed by AMs. This includes updating Epic applications to reflect ordered changes.
    2. Obtain quotes on simple changes, as requested.
    3. Handle insurance verification requests, issuing EVID/CERTs as needed.
    4. Create billing breakdowns as needed.
    5. Submit claims, as directed by AM.
    6. Build claims analysis as needed.
  4. Back-up to the account support functions within the department. Assist when needed to keep workflows current.
Training includes:
  • Learn carrier products in depth and attend carrier meetings.
  • Follow-up with clients, at AM's direction. This may include returning phone calls, making outbound calls to obtain more information or clarification, confirming coverage, etc.
  • Follow-up with underwriters, at AM's direction. This may include answering underwriting requests, returning calls for the AM, providing requested information, etc.
Expectations of Performance:
  • Maintain follow-ups to ten days.
  • Prioritize work with AM/AE's guidance.
  • Document electronic file completely and thoroughly.
  • Utilize agency's latest technology to perform tasks.
  • Work with Account Techs on questions related to processing.


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  1. Proactive, can-do attitude...with a smile. The Assistant AM is available for help when requested.
  2. Holds an agent's license.
  3. Great attention to detail.
  4. Computer skills. The AA uses the latest technology, has advanced skills in Excel, Outlook, and network directory functions. Additionally, the AA maneuvers the agency website, mobile app with ease and proactively offers these technologies to prospects.
  5. Professionalism and accuracy. The AA's written communications are clear and free of grammatical errors.
Requirements:
  1. High School diploma.
  2. College education or equivalent insurance experience preferred.
