Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and personable Insurance Account Representative to join our team at the Business Athlete Association. As an Insurance Account Representative, you will play a critical role in handling asset protection and insurance benefit options for various organizations, including government agencies, school boards, and police departments.

Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional support to clients reporting claims on current policies by gathering all necessary documentation to facilitate the claims process.
  • Policy Updates: Update policy changes on customer accounts in our book of business and inform clients about policy changes in accordance with NAIC regulations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Meet regularly with agents to stay up-to-date on industry standards, insurance products, current rates, coverages, insurance policies, and carriers to assist clients, underwriters, sales representatives, account executives, and the service team with understanding and addressing the newest rules and policy updates.
  • Client Communication: Answer clients' questions regarding policy or billing matters, including explanations about their coverage or rate adjustments to ensure total understanding.
  • Quote and Renewal Processing: Consult with clients to help process quotes and issue renewals or any updates needed to current policies.
Qualifications
  • Insurance Experience: Insurance experience as an insurance agent or other position is preferred, but we will provide training as needed for the right fit and skillset.
  • Communication Skills: Must have very strong follow-up, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required.
  • Education: An Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred, but we will consider those with relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Insurance License: Active insurance license in your state or willingness to get licensed within 90 days is required.
