Public Finance Senior Planner

Benesch is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Public Finance Senior Planner The right candidate for this position will have experience with impact fee studies, be able to handle a wide array of projects and multiple assignments, think creatively and critically, and participate as a team member on assignments and business development.
Location

This position will report to our Tampa office on a hybrid work schedule.
The Impact You Will Have
  • Prepare technical analysis in the areas of impact fees, infrastructure planning, and funding studies
  • Assist with technical analysis
  • Assist in preparation of Project Scopes of Service
  • Prepare written summaries of analyses, including creating graphs, charts and tables
  • Prepare presentation materials for client meetings
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, including project proposals
  • All other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Planning, Public Administration, Geography, or related area
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Certified Planner (AICP) license preferred, or in process of obtaining AICP
  • Strong analytical/qualitative skills
  • Ability to interpret related data
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Some project management experience
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the following areas are preferred:
    • Impact fees
    • Public Finance
    • Economic/demographic analysis/projections
    • Utility fees
    • Assessments
    • User fees
    • Facility Planning
    • School facility planning
    • Fire facility planning
    • Parks master plans
    • Community redevelopment plans1
