As a Financial Analyst II - Store Development, you will be a liaison between the Store Development departments and Business Support. The analyst’s primary responsibility is supporting Store Planning’s capital projects through budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis. The position will work closely with senior management in Store Planning, Business Support, Finance, Asset Management, Construction, Facilities, and Real Estate Legal. This position is critical to the successful sales and profit growth of the organization.A Day in the LifeCapex Budget & Tracking - work with Store Planning, Construction, & Real Estate Legal to develop capital budget assumptions, submit capital requests to Finance, monthly tracking, and analysis for various capital projects throughout the year. Position will gain understanding of capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for financial reporting to management.Finance/Accounting Tasks for Supported Departments - take a lead role in monthly re-forecasting process, budget preparation, accruals, general ledger coding, SG&A analysis, and weekly Finance updates. This will include preparation of the monthly re-forecast, development of sub-schedules, and taking a lead role during the forecast meetings.Performance Improvement Contribution (PIC) - Identify, execute, and/or support PIC initiatives. Respond to the needs of the company by identifying and realizing additional expense/capital savings practices.Special Projects - complete special projects as given by CAO, Senior Management, and Director of Store Development Accounting. You'll Come WithFour year accounting/finance degree required1-3 years of experience in relevant analysis, with retail experience preferredAbility to analyze data and perform financial analysis to support investment decisionsAbility & willingness to further develop analytical skillsAdvanced Excel user, proficiency in computerized accounting applicationsScope and ImpactThis position will support the Store Development Accounting department and various Store Development teams. The role will take a lead to ensure proper compliance with Company’s capitalization policy as well as on the re-forecasting and budgeting process becoming a key partner with the Finance/Accounting teams.This role will develop analysis and provide feedback and/or ideas to partner with the supported departments to ensure they have the necessary tools to manage the business through an understanding of their financials to include monthly re-forecasting, budgeting, expense challenges, and Performance Improvement Contribution (PIC). Provide additional reporting and assist with special projects as requested by Director of Store Development Accounting and Senior Management. This position requires direct interaction with senior business leaders in Store Development, Business Support, and Finance. Come join our team.
