Financial Analyst II

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II to play a critical role in supporting our capital projects through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive capital budget assumptions and submit capital requests to our Finance department.
  • Track and analyze capital projects throughout the year, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Lead the monthly re-forecasting process and budget preparation, providing accurate and reliable financial data to senior management.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to support investment decisions, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Identify and execute Performance Improvement Contribution (PIC) initiatives, driving business efficiency and profitability.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by senior management, leveraging expertise and knowledge to drive business outcomes.
About the Role:

This position will work closely with senior management in Store Planning, Business Support, Finance, Asset Management, Construction, Facilities, and Real Estate Legal, fostering collaboration and driving business results.

You will gain a deep understanding of capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for financial reporting to management, developing a strong foundation for future career growth.

Requirements:
  • A four-year accounting/finance degree is required, with a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
  • 1-3 years of experience in relevant analysis, with retail experience preferred, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
  • Advanced Excel user, proficiency in computerized accounting applications, and a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
