Key Responsibilities:
Operational Expense Oversight: Manage the monthly re-forecasting cycle, budget formulation, accruals, general ledger classification, SG&A analysis, and weekly financial updates. This role includes preparing the monthly re-forecast, developing sub-schedules, and presenting variance analyses during re-forecast meetings. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision of financials for designated departments, maintaining accrual accuracy and appropriate ledger coding.
Capital Expenditure Oversight: Work collaboratively with supported departments to ascertain capital needs and oversee capital expenditures. Responsibilities include preparing the annual budget, conducting monthly re-forecasts, and creating Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) with supporting documentation of essential metrics. This role involves reviewing ongoing and upcoming capital initiatives, providing variance explanations, and generating ad-hoc reports for management at all levels.
Performance Improvement Initiatives: Identify, implement, and support Performance Improvement Contributions (PIC). Respond to organizational needs by pinpointing and realizing additional savings in expenses and capital.
Special Projects: Undertake special projects as assigned by senior management to evaluate current processes for accuracy and efficiency, discover improvement opportunities, and train field personnel on best practices and the utilization of current technologies within the organization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance, with a preference for 5+ years
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with computerized accounting systems
