Staff Accountant

is responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, daily and monthly journal entries, and reviewing daily cash activity. The Staff Accountant also assists the Controller with other special financial projects. What you will be doing as a Staff Accountant at MedSpeed: Review and reconcile daily cash activity. Prepare journal entries related to cash, fleet, expense allocations, amortization, accruals, and others. Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts and perform financial statement variance analysis. Contributes to the preparation of financial statements and other monthly reporting requirements. Process fixed asset activity including additions, transfers, disposals, and monthly depreciation. Oversee lease accounting and ASC 842 compliance in the recording, reporting, and reconciliation of leases. File annual business personal property returns for multiple locations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue and expense data, and assist with financial questions that may arise. Drive and participate in continuous process improvement efforts. Participate in ad-hoc projects and reporting to support company initiatives. What you will need to become a Staff Accountant at MedSpeed: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Must have 1-3 years of hands-on accounting experience. Excellent written and oral communication, strong interpersonal skills. Collaborative work style, able to work well within and across departments. Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Knowledge of Accounting software, specifically NetSuite. Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
