Business Operations Intern - Zeeland, Michigan

DISHER is currently searching for a part-time Business Operations Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will work with the Business Operations team to support efforts related to Human Resources and Office Management work, including assisting with strategic Talent Management projects, creating content for our weekly team member e-newsletter, scheduling weekly staff meetings, and performing daily office manager tasks. This is an internship where you will contribute and be vital to our team.

What you'll get to do:
    • Staff the front desk by welcoming customers and guests, answering phones, managing office inventory, and assisting DISHER team members when needed
    • Create and publish our weekly DISH newsletter highlighting new hires, birthdays, team member resource group happenings, and other company related events and activities
    • Participate in our Connections Team to help brainstorm and facilitate monthly team engagement events
    • Contribute to ongoing HR projects related to areas of Talent Management
    • Plan and prepare for regular staff meetings which includes scheduling meetings, placing lunch orders, and reporting on attendance
    • Jump in to assist your teammates with on-the-fly tasks related to Business Operations
What will make you successful:
    • College Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Operations, Communication, Hospitality (or similar field) required
    • Previous experience in the service industry such as retail, restaurant, etc. (preferred)
    • Strong communicator
    • A team-based and creative approach to problem solving
    • A keen sense of urgency
    • Experience with Microsoft Outlook (preferred)
    • Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without sponsorship
