Job Summary:

This position entails managing operational requirements under the direction of the Production Manager, emphasizing safety, compliance, and quality. The role involves ensuring adherence to established procedures, facilitating training sessions, and promoting effective communication within the operational team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and underscore the significance of Safety, Quality, and Productivity
  • Ensure team members comply with safety regulations, best practices, and protocols
  • Assist in pre-production planning to ensure streamlined operations
  • Communicate expectations and outcomes to team members and management
  • Identify challenges, mentor team members, and enforce operational procedures
  • Serve as Incident Commander in accordance with emergency protocols
  • Tackle technical challenges and propose enhancements
  • Oversee utilities and site security measures
  • Generate production documentation and manage training initiatives
  • Coordinate maintenance activities and operator assignments

Compliance:

  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
  • Timely report incidents and maintain a secure work environment

Problem Solving and Innovation:

  • Engage in continuous improvement projects
  • Contribute to problem-solving and learning opportunities
  • Guide and support team development
  • Exhibit autonomy and critical thinking skills

Qualifications/Desired Skills:

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Preferably possess IATA, IMDG, or DOT Certification

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a chemical or manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership experience and knowledge of PPE

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and communication capabilities
  • Ability to adapt to changes and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with robust analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and demonstrated leadership qualities
