Position Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our facility by maintaining and repairing electrical equipment. This position is essential for promoting safety and reliability through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver maintenance support to guarantee the safe and effective operation of equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Execute emergency mechanical and electrical repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to ensure optimal performance of all assigned production equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with plant personnel to achieve both plant and individual objectives.
  • Reduce downtime caused by equipment malfunctions.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals accurately.
  • Work with various systems including pumps, hydraulics, and welding.
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of electrical theory, wiring systems, and installation practices.
Qualifications

Education: A minimum of one year of maintenance experience is preferred, with an industrial maintenance diploma or enrollment in a technical program being advantageous. An electrician or journeyman license is preferred.

Experience: At least one year of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent, with a background in hydraulics, welding, and compressed air systems.

Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency is required for logging information, processing work orders, and completing necessary documentation. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.

Communication Skills: Effective communication abilities and basic math skills are essential for performing this role satisfactorily.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs occasionally; frequently lift 20 lbs.
  • Capability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing and utilizing ladders.
  • Frequent overhead work and repetitive motions.
  • Adaptability to varying temperatures, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Basic math skills, including understanding percentages, fractions, and measurements.
Work Schedule

This position operates on a rotating shift schedule, with shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The schedule includes 3 days on, 3 days off, followed by 2 days on and 2 days off. Some weekend work may be required.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.00 to $30.00.
