We are looking for a detail-oriented and people centric HR professional who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The HR Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting our team in Spencer, Wisconsin. In this role, you'll focus on recruitment, positive employee relations and process ownership within the local HR team.
Job Description:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and deliver on recruiting plan.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience in partnership with our Talent Acquisition team.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
- Address employee concerns and conduct investigations when necessary.
- Own and manage local HR processes and maintain accurate employee records.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Partner with leadership, HR, and Labor to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreement.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and 1 years of experience in HR generalist role is preferred. Candidates with an Associate's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience may be considered.
- Experience working in a union environment preferred.
- Ability to thrive and demonstrate agility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Works well with cross-functional teams and fosters collaboration.
- Committed to providing exceptional service to employees and leaders.
- Communicates effectively in an open and timely manner.
- Administers HR policies fairly and consistently.
- Handles all matters confidentially and with great tact and professionalism.
- Balances competing priorities with a sense of urgency.
Note: This is a three-shift manufacturing plant (5 days per week). The HR Specialist must be flexible to work varying hours from time to time to support the needs of the operation.
