Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of staff responsible for patient revenue functions, including accounts follow-up, resolution, denials, and refunds
  • Monitor performance of assigned staff and managing their workflows appropriately
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable aging, prioritizing resolution of aged accounts when appropriate and allocating special projects to staff
  • Perform internal account audits to ensure accuracy and timely follow up
  • Providing ongoing and timely support and education to staff based on payer updates, questions related to follow-up activities/reimbursement, and issues identified during monthly audits.
  • Continuously research and monitor topics that involve governmental and third-party payer reimbursement and guidelines
  • Oversee special projects and other duties assigned by the Revenue Cycle Manager, department Director and/or VP of Revenue Cycle
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in healthcare industry is required
  • CPT/ICD9/ICD10 coding
  • Epic Resolute Billing
  • Financial analytical skills
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • APC, DRG, and third party reimbursement guidelines and procedures
  • Commercial and Medicaid payer contract/reimbursement terms
