Our growing health center is seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle and Business Office to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the Revenue Cycle and Business Office that includes billing, credentialing with payors, and ACO arrangements/reimbursements. It is also responsible for maximizing the collection of medical and dental service payments and reimbursements from patients, insurance carriers, financial assistance companies, and guarantors. Experience with Pharmacy and Imaging revenue cycle is a strong plus, as well as working with Ryan White/HIV billing/revenue.

Here are a few other things you will take the lead on:

  • Provide strategic direction for Billing and Revenue Cycle
  • Provide strong knowledge and guidance around processing and submitting of insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance. Obtain billable amounts on various CPT-4 procedure codes and proper ICD diagnosis coding.
  • Monitor aging reports to ensure all claims are paid accurately
  • Analyze claims and denial data to identify any issues when billing and ensure error free electronic billing submission
  • Partner with payors and review EOB's to ensure timely and accurate claims processing
  • Work closely with Billing team, CFO and CEO
  • Work with a diverse patient population in the heart of Dallas.

Skills needed to succeed

To join our team, you will have excellent payor and team engagement, strong communication skills, and promote teamwork. You will also have the following:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Business, Health Care Administration or equivalent education/experience.
  • Billing and Coding Certification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in healthcare billing
  • Proven experience leading others
  • Strong relationship building
  • Experience partnering with leaders across different disciplines
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, denials, ambulatory, and modifiers
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Attention to detail and a have high sense of urgency
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and with a growth mindset
