Job Description

As an Activities Manager, you will:
  • Create, implement, and direct activity and special event programs using themed concepts.
  • Formulate an environment that will increase team member morale and motivation and promote team spirit.
  • Prepare departmental budget.
  • Facilitate products, programs, and services for Activities/Events.
  • Input and review payroll system and prepare RR & TM timecards.
  • Be responsible for inputting and updating the resort information television channel.
  • Prepare supervisory reports for accidents and remain updated on emergency/safety procedures.
  • Coordinate training for CPR and First Aid Training.
  • Be responsible for accurate inventory and purchasing of sports and recreation-related equipment.
  • Be responsible for purchasing items needed to maintain Kid's Club.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly records of all inventories purchased and distributed through the Activities/Events department.
  • Remain updated on all recreation and sports equipment, as well as lakes, ponds, game rooms, and outdoor recreation facilities, to meet appropriate safety standards.
  • Be responsible for inputting Westgate T. V. channel for resort-wide marketing of special events and important resort information.
  • Be responsible for canceling or shutting down various equipment and activities/events when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to participants.
  • Order supplies for activities and events, or team member programs, Kids Club and Activity Center.
Qualifications

Requirements
  • Complete 2-3 years of experience in resort activity planning for adults and children.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be open to a flexible schedule and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver's license to drive company golf carts.
  • Westgate Resorts is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free workplace. Except where prohibited by law, applicants who smoke or use tobacco products will not be considered for positions at Westgate.
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
