The Accounting Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the business. This role will be integral in managing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), property insurance, and all financing tasks related to real estate development. This role will work closely with Zeal’s head of accounting.

Success Measures

Success is measured by the ability to provide analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to the team, along with a solid understanding of real estate operating businesses, real estate underwriting and development. Additionally, effective collaboration with industry professionals and positive performance feedback from mentors are key indicators of success.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

•       Develop, implement, and manage financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

•       Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvements.

•       Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data, analyze trends, and support strategic decision-making.

Real Estate Development Financing:

•       Evaluate and secure financing options for real estate development projects, including loans, tax credits and investor funding.

•       Prepare financial models and feasibility studies to support the operations of the business.

•       Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cash flows to ensure alignment with financial plans and objectives.

Financial Operations:

•       Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, adhering to GAAP and company policies.

•       Implement and maintain financial controls, procedures, and systems to safeguard company assets.

• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving any identified issues.
