Overview:

Responsible for supporting the commonization of financial processes across PASA, as well as supporting the development of future state financial systems within the company that organize and streamline the flow of information used to support the strategic decision making and business decision making within Panasonic Automotive Systems of America (PASA).

YOUR MISSION:
Responsible for supporting the commonization of financial processes across PASA, as well as supporting the development of future state financial systems within the company that organize and streamline the flow of information used to support the strategic decision making and business decision making within Panasonic Automotive Systems of America (PASA). Partner with IT and internal stakeholders to identify and address current obstacles, complications and inefficiencies within PASAs financial processes by implementing efficient and effective use of financial systems and tools across the organization.


A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Partner with the IT, finance, and key business stakeholders to identify current pain points and inefficiencies in financial processes and collaboratively design and implement process changes and/or enhanced tools to address.
  • Create process maps to document and serve as a key reference for financial system and process design.
    Be a key driver of One PASA vision within finance, defining the roadmap of accounting/finance process commonization and best practice implementation.
  • Lead education programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge base of users of PASA financial systems.
  • Lead best practice sharing activity and collaboration among locations finance and accounting teams.
  • Support the establishment of a shared service center of excellence by partnering with different financial disciplines in defining a future-state design that incorporates best-practice utilization of financial systems.
  • Drive a process-driven culture, ensuring robust internal financial controls are maintained, constantly monitored, and adequately addressed in financial system design.
  • Serve as a key advocate of Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies across the finance/accounting function, with a keen emphasis on process simplification and automation.
  • Proactively identify upcoming changes in the business situation which may dictate necessary changes in financial processes and/or system design.
  • Recommend changes to our existing financial system landscape to ensure PASA stays current with best-in-class financial systems and technologies.
  • Coach, develop and mentor financial teams, including developing the next generation of Panasonic financial leaders.
  • Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities and sequences to meet the designate goals and objectives.
  • Assists senior management in making day-to-day operating decisions and offers advice on various aspects of company management.

MUST-HAVES:

  • BS Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent; Technical (i.e. IT-centric) degrees will be considered with adequate corresponding finance/accounting practical experience;
  • 5+ years experience in a finance / accounting role (or combined experience with a IT role focused on finance and accounting) in a multi-national manufacturing company (automotive experience highly preferred)
  • Significant experience and expertise in SAP ERP system required
    Experience working across financial disciplines (operational finance, commercial finance, FP&A, etc.)
  • Proficiency with the computer applications appropriate to the position and assignment
