Job Summary
The is a M-F in office role that is to support the Export and Cross Trade Specialists in all functions. Works under the general direction of the Logistics Supervisor; follow pre-established guidelines to meet expectations and exercises discretion and good judgement on work priorities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively manages all aspects of the international movement of cargo.Executes required documentation as directed for multiple accounts in various stages of completion in a highly time sensitive environment.Timely management of multiple lines of communication between suppliers, shippers, and internal parties, maintaining details, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate parties.Daily data entry - updating orders with current status and shipment information.Performs other duties as required.Job Specifications
Knowledge
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of cross-trade logistics experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Skills and Abilities
Proficient use of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking.Effective and professional communicator.Multilingual preferred but not required.Proven track record of shipping document creation and knowledge.High comfort level of working with the international community.Demonstrated proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette.Ability to perform basic metric and standard math equations.Ability to work remotely if required.Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking and attention to detail.Ability to develop and maintain customer service skills. People PersonWorks well under pressure and with a sense of urgency.Ability to pass a drug test.Conduct
