Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Export Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Expeditors. As an Export Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely movement of freight, while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Freight Management: Assist in the preparation and coordination of export shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers to arrange international export shipments, meeting customer service standards and ensuring total customer satisfaction.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and negotiate rates with contracted vendors to procure space and services, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately and timely enter data into our operating system, monitoring shipment reports and providing regular updates to the team.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously look for areas of improved efficiency, ensuring all customers' standard operating procedures are followed as per the DLSOP.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to meet KPI standards, supporting the supervisor in daily review of workflow and operational reports.
  • Financial Management: Ensure company credit procedures are followed and utilized effectively, accurate billing to clients for services performed.
  • Sales and Retention: Assist in responding to requests for information, market competitive pricing, and participate in the transition of new business and updates to existing business.
  • Culture and Values: Demonstrate and promote the company's 10 cultural attributes, setting the tone of this environment within your team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in logistics, transportation, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in export logistics, freight forwarding, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operating systems.
