Responsibilities:

•Responsible for developing, executing, and socializing an energy management strategy and program consistent with maintaining the buildings LEED certifications. This includes enhancing the buildings energy star scores and maintaining alignment with the latest Washington DC building energy codes

•Responsible for management of LEED Certification and Energy Star data for the client

•Responsible for the management of the utility bill pay service

•Proposes and develops programs in concert with the IMF EHS and Environmental Sustainability Manager that promotes and maximizes a sustainable culture, focused on water, waste/recycling and energy management

•Works closely with IMF EHS and Environmental Sustainability Manager to execute sustainable mission and vision, while instilling the value of same throughout the ABM workforce at the IMF

•Works collaboratively with the Director of Engineering and staff, along with the Data Analyst, to identify and execute energy conservation measures and track the corresponding savings and efficiencies

•Continually performs assessments of energy, waste and water usage to meet and/or exceed environmental sustainability requirements

•Manages approved energy, waste, and water conservation projects ensuring all projects are completed consistent with the scope of work, budget and schedule

•Responsible for reviewing, recommending changes and implementing actions for energy, waste and water management

•Works closely with the waste management provider to promote the waste diversion program in an effort to maximize the amount of waste and other materials used and recycled while minimize waste/materials sent to the landfill

•Provides reports and updates documentation of sustainability initiatives, measurements of success and future recommendations for additional strategies

•Reviews all utility charges, whether internally generator or through billings, for discrepancies and verify that they are in compliance with the associated rates and tariffs.

•Continually reviews energy curtailment strategies in concert with Operations and the IMF to improve the overall program

•Provides an annual review of current industry trends and technologies available to improve management and consumption of utility, waste and water resources

•Prepares and present a quarterly and annual presentation to the IMF for viable options to improve energy, waste and water management

Benchmarks utility usage annually and prepare analysis that compares usage and costs with comparable companies and facilities. Explains significant variances and highlight opportunities.

•Responsible for strict compliance of the Able/ABM/IMF contractual agreement and Statement of Work as it relates to Energy and Environmental Sustainability

•Develops a strong client relationship that is based on integrity, professionalism, respect, responsiveness, sense of urgency, and quality performance

•Develops, tracks and reports on KPIs that support the IMFs Environmental Sustainability Program

•Demonstrates good analytical skills, inquisitive and interrogates disparate sources of data and correlative metrics to uncover unfavorable trends in performance and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.

•Provides capital and operational project support which include but not limited to design reviews and recommendations on equipment selection, functional applications, and technology solutions.

•Collaborates with the IMF and Engineering teams to identify, introduce, and implement industry best practices and innovation.

Relationships and Roles:

•Internal / External Cooperation

o ABM Directors, Managers, Operations and Administration (Internal)

§ Provide guidance, assistance and support to the Able/ABM Team at the IMF relative to Sustainability and the adherence to same as it relates to the SOW, KPIs and SLAs

o IMF (External)

§ Function as a Key Representative to all IMF Management Representatives as it relates to Energy and Sustainability

•Key Relationships (Internal)

o All Able/ABM Directors and Managers at the IMF

Job Specifications:

•Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field required

•Minimum of 5-7 years' experience, with strategic and tactical focus

•5 days a week, in office (on site) requirement

•Strong knowledge of local DC building energy codes

•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, verbal / written communication skills, planning / scheduling, problem solving, project management experience, and proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and follow up

•Proficiency in MS Office Suite (spreadsheet, word processing, project, etc.)

•Advanced Excel skills and other analytical applications desirable

•Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System and Energy Management System programs #J-18808-Ljbffr
