Description

Summary

The HR Coordinator provides HR support and services to all employees and managers of the firm including: Benefit enrollment; employee status changes: terminations, transfers, and promotions; New Hire onboarding and orientation; ensuring adherence with company policies, and documentation retention guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Initial point-of-contact for day-to-day HR-related employee requests.
  2. Prepares employee communications and correspondence.
  3. Creates and maintains employee records.
  4. Assists with maintenance of employee information and documentation.
  5. Ensures awareness and understanding of various policies and benefit programs.
  6. Assists with maintenance/updating job descriptions and job postings.
  7. Coordinates and participates in the recruiting process for all employees as needed.
  8. Coordinates employee onboarding, and ensures proper documentation is prepared and completed.
  9. Prepares new hire onboarding guides/information packets and personnel files.
  10. Assists with HR orientation and updates training material as needed.
  11. Audits and maintains updated personnel, benefit and payroll documentation. Ensuring that files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and SERA's policies and procedures.
  12. Assists with maintenance and tracking all appropriate documentation for compliance reporting.
  13. Assists with processing and maintenance of payroll records as needed.
  14. Processes enrollments and updates records related to benefit administration.
  15. Assist with the coordination of employee events (Flu Shot Clinics, etc.).
  16. Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Associate Degree with HR emphasis or related field required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years administrative or related experience required.
  • Experience with Paylocity preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to apply professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Takes initiative and can work independently.
  • Action-oriented, approachable and customer-focused attitude.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at planning, organizing, and process management.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure as well as manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
