Job Description

What you will be doing

  • Greet all guests arriving and departing the hotel, hold the front doors as they enter and exit. Ensure guests feel welcome to the hotel, and provide excellent guest service.
  • Carry baggage to the guest's room. Accurately tag and store luggage for guest as needed and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing luggage.
  • Safely drive the hotel shuttle van.
  • Have knowledge of the hotel property, hotel staff and hotel services, with hours of operation. Give clear and accurate directions to hotel facilities and rooms, as well as local area attractions.
  • Suggest and "sell" the amenities of the hotel (i.e restaurant, lounge, spa, etc).
  • Respond to request for bell services within 2 minutes.
Location Description

Right outside LaGuardia Airport, this modern hotel is 3.2 miles from Flushing Meadows Corona Park and 8.9 miles from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Modern rooms offer Wi-Fi (fee) and flat-screen TVs with premium channels, plus desks and coffeemakers. Some offer airport views, and upgraded rooms have access to a lounge with free hot breakfast and evening appetizers. Suites add separate living areas with sofas.

Complimentary amenities include an airport shuttle and Wi-Fi in the lobby. The property offers 2 American restaurants and a 24/7 gym, as well as 26 meeting rooms and a business center.

Requirements

What we are looking for $20hr
  • Highwork ethic and self-initiative, ability to work in high pressure situations.
  • Maybe required to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Provenexperience with strong customer service skills, including ability to handle guest complaints and/or concerns.
  • Possessa valid state driver's license (or chauffeur's license if required) and safely drive guest vehicles and/or shuttle van. Have proof of safe driving record as indicated by Motor Vehicle Record.
