Job Description We are looking for a motivated Procurement Specialist to join our growing company. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for a variety of activities, including managing the purchase requisition to purchase order placement process, vendor follow-up, invoice reconciliation, and order returns management. Responsibilities The Purchasing Specialist will work closely with the laboratory teams, providing support in the procurement of laboratory materials, equipment, and services. Manage procurement activities for laboratory supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries. Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements for laboratory supplies and equipment. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating purchase terms, ensuring timely deliveries, and resolving supply issues. Research and identify prospective suppliers for laboratory-specific items. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to laboratory procurement. Provide support and guidance to laboratory staff in the procurement process.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience. Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position is a plus. Procurement experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, or equivalent industry a plus. Good knowledge of purchasing strategies. Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills. Self-motivated and work under pressure to balance conflicting deadlines. Strong problem-solving abilities and critical-thinking capabilities. Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
