Role Summary:

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in the acquisition and sourcing of essential materials and resources for the organization. This position involves supporting the management of contracts and facilitating order creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholder teams across departments such as sales, production, customer service, and finance to develop necessary analyses and documentation in a cohesive manner.
  • Oversee the supply chain for designated commodities, ensuring timely procurement and expediting of components to meet production schedules and maintain acceptable inventory levels.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to ensure materials are delivered punctually while adhering to inventory budget goals.
  • Utilize the SAP system to monitor supplier performance, ensuring 100% on-time delivery by maintaining open communication and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Address daily Accounts Payable discrepancies to guarantee timely payments to suppliers.
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to manage supplier quality concerns and ensure the return of defective materials for credit.
  • Assist management with various projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or materials planning, including Accounts Payable resolution.
  • Associate Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in a similar role.

Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with SAP is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in resolving Accounts Payable invoices.
  • Strong understanding of MRP systems.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including V Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
