Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing software support with a focus on custom built applications to meet the needs of Interstates' clients.
  • Communicating through support issues with clients via phone, e-mail, and chat.
  • Following best practices and standards for issue processing.
  • Providing after-hours support to clients.
  • Configuring and deploying Interstates software.
  • SQL Database troubleshooting and query optimization.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services report maintenance and creation.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and or Experience
  • 2 or 4-year degree in computer science, software development, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in the SQL Programming language.
  • Intermediate understanding of coding practices.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new processes and skills quickly.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in the following (or closely related) technologies a plus:
  • High level coding languages such as C#
  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • PLC
  • HMI

Location and Travel

This position and individual must be located and based out of our Sioux Falls, SD, or Sioux Center, IA office and the amount of travel will vary according to business requirements (may be up to 25%). This is an in person role not remote.
