**IT Support Specialist - Full Time**

The IT Specialist will support the Information Technology (IT) team in maintaining hardware, software, and audio/video systems. In addition, the specialist will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with IT professionals. Primarily responsible to the IT Systems Administrator for the successful performance of providing support to the Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. (WPMI) staff for network, hardware, and software issues.

**Requires ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays occasionally**

**What you will get to do**

* Support WPMI employees with technology issues and escalate corrective procedures to other technical resources as appropriate

* Assist in installation, maintenance, and monitoring of network equipment

* Set up new computer systems and peripherals and upgrade existing ones

* Resolve incidents with peripherals such as printers, copiers, and scanners

* Aid in maintaining hardware and software inventory records and documentation for equipment

* Provide support in developing end-user training activities and education regarding security and procedure

* Contribute to technical documentation and participate in training, policy, and standards development

* Assist with installation and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment.

**What you will need**

* Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suites.

* General knowledge of network protocols.

* Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and the ability to troubleshoot signal and picture issues

* Basic understanding of computer network cabling and network file and print services

* Knowledge of PowerPoint and Keynote software would be beneficial

* Must have a mechanical aptitude and be comfortable with hand tools

* Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

* Requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.

* Must be able to move freely around the buildings, climb stairs frequently, use a ladder, crawl in tight, enclosed spaces, bend, reach, and lift

**Qualifications**

* High school diploma. Preferred degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or Management Information

* Some IT experience on current network operating systems beneficial
