Description: This position has primary responsibility for staffing and scheduling services for Assisting Hands®. The Staffing Coordinator matches caregivers with clients and coordinates caregiver schedules, as well as recruits and hires new caregivers. This position involves extensive telephone work and interaction with caregivers, clients, and health care professionals. The Staffing Coordinator also responds to inquiries from prospective clients.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; CNA in good standing required. Must be able to show proof of active CPR & First-Aid Certification along with a negative TB Test taken within the last year.

Qualifications: Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills. Must be well-organized and have good attention to detail. This position requires at least 2 years of experience in staffing or customer service in a health care setting, a well as 2 years as a CNA. Experience in senior service setting preferred. Must be a good problem solver and able to work independently. Prior experience with hiring and staffing schedules is recommended - team varies between 25-40 caregivers - office is expanding and growing meaning that candidates with a strong background with time management will be the most successful in this position.

Reports to: Administrator

Primary Duties:

  1. Matches appropriate caregivers to cases based on personality, availability, and skill set.
  2. Makes sure that all cases are covered and arranges for substitute/back-up coverage as necessary.
  3. Handles/resolves caregiver issues, problems and scheduling changes.
  4. Provides information about services to prospective clients.
  5. Responsible for maintaining client files and keeping them up to date.
  6. Responsible for interviewing and hiring caregiver candidates.
  7. Serves as the point of contact for clients, caregivers and case managers
  8. Counsels caregivers regarding attendance or performance issues.
  9. Works closely with Administrator to ensure that hours and pay rates are correct for payroll and billing rates are appropriate for invoicing.
  10. Participates in on-call rotation as needed (covering after hour calls during weekday and weekends.)

Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision plans are offered. Same-day pay through ZayZoon eligible.

FLSA Status: Salaried exempt

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
