It is the responsibility of the facilities assistant to maintain a safe, clean, working hospital environment. This position requires a very organized and dependable individual, who can manage multiple tasks at the same time with a great deal of positive energy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily maintenance and repair of the facility and grounds.
  • Operate and maintain custodial functions.
  • Handle incoming work orders and complete them in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure required equipment and facility inspections are complete.
  • Perform standard maintenance on all equipment.
  • Purchase capital equipment.
  • Purchase surgical equipment and implants.
  • Coordinate all construction projects.
  • Track project budgets.
  • Perform administrative tasks and other duties as needed.
  • Implement OSHA standards.
  • Coordinate monthly safety requirements.
  • Onsite IT support.
  • Create ID badges for all staff.
  • Monitor site security.

Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with previous facilities experience preferred.
