Clarkson College is currently seeking a Director of College Finance. The Director of College Finance will report to the Vice President of College Finance and assist in providing excellent support for all College related activities. In the role, this position will be able to help drive and leverage technology to deliver results. Key aspects will include being responsible for internal controls to safeguard the company's assets by monitoring compliance with college policies and procedures, providing excellent customer service to external and internal customers, and analyzing and reporting financial information to support the College. The Director of College Finance will be an individual who is passionate about learning, using technology wherever possible to improve performance and increase efficiencies and accuracy, and collaborating with many different individuals and departments. The Director of College Finance will supervise the College Accountant and Accounts Receivable Specialist.

Required Qualifications:
•Minimum of (10) ten years of progressive accounting, finance, management, and administrative experience required
•Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance required.
•Demonstrated thorough knowledge of financial and accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience in analyzing and reporting results required.
•Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail required.
•Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed job management skills required.
•Personal computer skills and related software packages/applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and all general ledger systems and sub-systems (used extensively) required.
•Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Master's degree in business administration preferred.
•Experience in accounting, management, and administrative experience in higher education is preferred.
•Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
•Knowledge of computer systems operations flow and controls preferred.
