Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering care to residents according to established plans of care and under the supervision of a professional registered nurse. This position involves supporting and promoting the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the nursing department, assisting in the planning and carrying out of direct care based on the nursing care plan, administering medications and treatment according to care plans and doctors' orders, and performing special nursing procedures as required. The role also includes assisting in meeting the nutritional needs of the residents, observing residents for changes in physical, social, or behavioral status, and reporting and documenting signs and symptoms to the nurse in charge of the unit according to policy.
Hard Skills
  • High School Diploma
  • Certificate or Diploma from an L.P.N. program
  • Current License in Good Standing in New York
  • Experience in long term healthcare
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
Work Environment

The position is based in NY, Westchester County. Work shifts include 1st Shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm), 2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11 pm), and 3rd Shift (11 pm - 7 am). Candidates must be available to work every other weekend across all shifts.
