It's the people who represent the FS brand that set it apart. We are seeking an experienced Agronomy Facility Manager to oversee sales and operations at our Stockton, IL location. In this role, you will manage the agronomy sales team, scheduling, logistics, product handling, rolling stock, plant operations at satellite locations, and on-site customer sales. Your contribution will extend beyond day-to-day operations as you actively participate in developing and implementing strategic objectives, goals, and operational policies to maximize location profits and effectiveness for the company. You will: Display a positive attitude and good personal appearance with the customers. Responsible for all monthly inventories, ie, Fertilizers, Chemicals, Seeds, Fuels, Oils, L.P. Parts and equipment. Supervise, lead, and develop both full-time and part-time employees. Serve as the primary contact person for all operational needs for all departments at the location in addition to customers. Hire and train employees to meet state, federal and company regulatory and safety needs. Responsible for product ordering, inventory control, shipping and receiving of seed, fertilizer, chemicals and facility supplies. Lead efficient plant operations of blending, loading, handling, mixing and delivery of ag products which includes chemicals, liquid and dry fertilizers, anhydrous ammonia and seed products. Ensure record keeping, appearance of all company equipment, and facilitating equipment maintenance is upheld. Responsible for counter sales and phone sales of agronomy and energy products and the forwarding of orders to right sales personnel and customer inquiries to right departments. Communicate with all salespeople to answer any concerns about operations issues involving customer service. Assists sales personnel in increasing sales through meeting the needs of the grower. Stay current on agronomy and energy related products and services offered by the company. Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet the seasonal demands of the job. What it takes to be successful : Requires an associate or bachelor s degree in agriculture or ag business preferred. Previous applicator or related experience and training to demonstrate the ability to work with people can be a replacement of the above with willingness to learn. Must possess or able to acquire a CDL License with all required endorsements and obtain a current State of Illinois Custom Applicator s Spraying License.
