Description SetPoint Medical’s Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement process for medical device products, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods. Regularly, the Procurement Specialist will be tracking budget expenses, supporting vendor relationships, drafting documentation, and supporting production planning. The Procurement Specialist must be detail-oriented and proactive in the completion of job responsibilities to ensure timely completion of assigned duties and product compliance throughout the organization. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. This position is in office, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA. Relocation assistance is not available. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure that the company's purchasing needs are met in a cost-effective and timely manner. Identify potential suppliers and conduct vendor evaluations to ensure that they meet quality and compliance standards. Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with suppliers, including pricing, delivery, and quality expectations. Manage the procurement process, including purchase order creation, order tracking, contract management, and delivery schedules. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that purchasing needs are aligned with business objectives. Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans as necessary. Ensure compliance with all regulations and quality requirements and industry standards. Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external. Provide quarterly reporting to Senior Leadership Team detailing purchasing activity. Perform all other duties deemed necessary to support SetPoint Medical. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in the medical device industry. Excellent negotiation skills and experience with contract management. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards preferred. Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, preferred. Ability to create data analysis tools and spreadsheets to manage data. Superior knowledge of the procurement process for complex assemblies with multi-level BOMs, in a regulated environment. Skills and Abilities Attention to detail. Ability to organize, learn quickly, multi-task, adapt to change and perform in a fast-paced, dynamic, and quality-driven environment. Exceptional ability to work in a team, collaborate and build strong relationships. Strong motivational skills including the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
