Let me tell you a bit about the job of the WW Hardware Service Engineer.

Actively participate in all phases of the commercialization process for complex products from concept through to discontinuance.

Provide Level 3 Engineering support for new and legacy products including Kodak scanners and other manufacturers (OEM) scanners.

Support Level 2 service personnel worldwide.

Review profitability and drive improvements within our scanner portfolio based on cost assessments.

Assess last time parts buys and make purchase recommendations.

You will provide level 3 engineering, troubleshooting, support, service-ability and the on-going product refresh and process improvement for field service personnel on the copiers, printers or scanners deployed.

You must have a bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with a mechanical aptitude and a minimum of 5 years’ of background and experience providing technical support and interacting with multiple disciplines, (i.e., mechanical, electrical, firmware).

Ability to troubleshoot and recreate a customer scenario.

Experience in customer service and support; field experience a plus.

Familiar with using CAD software.

Network connectivity, LAN/WAN infrastructures

Familiarity with technology differences of USB interface versions

Remote Service

Proficiency with Operating systems, drivers, firmware

Ability to take equipment apart and return it to original operating condition.

Ability to develop Service Manuals and Field Training with the support of a Technical Writer.
