Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to maximize collections and minimize outstanding accounts receivable balances. Follow up with clients regarding overdue payments through phone calls, emails and written correspondence
  • Generate invoices accurately and timely for products and services provided to clients. Ensure invoices are distributed promptly via email, mail or electronic platforms
  • Monitor incoming payments and process transactions in a timely manner. Apply payments to customer accounts accurately and reconcile discrepancies as needed
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing or payments
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service in addressing inquiries, resolving disputes and facilitating payment arrangements when necessary
  • Generate regular reports on accounts receivable aging, cash flow and collection activities. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis of receivables data

Accounts Receivable Specialist Requirements:
  • 3+ years in an Accounts Receivable role
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
