In this role you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating sales activities as well as for developing customer relationships for the assigned region. You will have responsibility for managing assigned Distributors and Accounts in executing assigned AOP growth targets and new product distribution and overall sales execution. You will focus on a portion of an overall larger region and report into the Zone Manager. Responsibilities: This job may participate in one or more of the following duties as directed by supervision or management: + With responsibility for a full product portfolio, deliver growth in market share by working with distributors, and food service operators to plan and execute the sales and marketing plans of the organization. + Maintaining, Establishing, and Growing overall business across many channels to include, but not limited to Broadline Distributors, K12 Child Nutrition, Food Service, Rec/Retail/Amusement, FSD, Restaurants, Chains, Independents, C-Store, etc. + Establish sales assignments and manage and work with distributors and Tiered Operators assigned to position to achieve annual business goals. + Present products and other related information to food service operators to gain sales and establish accounts by displaying and/or demonstrating product(s), using samples or catalog, and emphasizing salable features. + Provide marketing and technical advice, pricing, credit terms and customer service concerning product(s) or services provided. + Conduct competitive product cuttings, samplings, demonstrations via operator meetings, sales meetings, food shows, culinary events, etc. and is well versed on the quality advantage to Schwan's products vs. competition. + Plan and prepare sales presentations and promotional events and/or materials. + Develop and maintains working relationships with purchasing contacts and investigates and resolves customer service problems as necessary. + Serve as primary contact with all key customers and represents the company at trade shows and association meetings to promote products and services. + Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential, inventory requirements, and customer preferences and monitors and analyzes sales promotion results. Input and manage sales and region activities in CRM. Ensure that all forecasts for assigned accounts are up-to-date and accurate. + Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct. + Travel required within stated geography, to include the Houston/East Texas/Gulf Coast and surrounding areas. Additional travel to support teammates when necessary in other parts of the State of Texas will also be needed from time to time, as well as additional annual travel outside of the state for any other national or company events that take place. + Position is a home office based position that can be located in the Houston Area. Qualifications: 5+ years experience in a sales or sales support role Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with sales experience in the food industry including Manufacturer Representative, Broadline Sales Experience, or Broker Experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : + Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook + Experience with financial data analysis + Ability to navigate sales reporting systems(CRM, SalesForce, etc.) + Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing as well as presentation experience in group settings to a wide variety of audiences.
