  • Supervises plant direct procurement team for business the unit.
  • Series production procurement key escalation contact for plant managers / plant operations.
  • Top level supplier escalations are managed
  • Safeguard flawless launches (procurement topics).
  • Facilitate procurement process compliance and data accuracy.
  • Monitor procurement engineering changes and drive for results.
  • Attend plant team meetings as requested to support with procurement topics.
  • Support buyer request for quotes and send data through data exchange.
  • Hire, train & mentor plant buyers.
  • Support buyer when necessary for supplier invoice issues.
  • Provide monthly reports as directed.

  • Conduct all business related activities for, and on behalf of, Purem within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Purem Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all Purem polices related to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.

Requirement Profile:

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of purchasing experience within the given sub-commodity group (preferably Automotive).
  • Knowledge of all commodities based on prior employment or studies.
  • Minimum three to five years' experience in Cost Analysis and Supplier Negotiations
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
Technical Expertise:
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write correspondence.
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures
  • Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
