Job Overview

Position Summary: The Procurement Manager for the manufacturing facility is tasked with leading the procurement division, managing supplier relationships, and providing commercial assistance within the production environment. This role acts as the principal liaison for supply chain operations at the plant, concentrating on managing changes, ensuring quality, maintaining delivery schedules, and controlling costs associated with directly sourced components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement team at the facility.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement-related inquiries from plant management.
  • Address high-level supplier issues effectively.
  • Facilitate successful product introductions.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement protocols.
  • Participate in plant meetings to offer procurement insights.
  • Assist with requests from buyers and manage data transfers.
  • Recruit, train, and develop procurement staff.
  • Support procurement staff with supplier billing inquiries.
  • Generate regular reports as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct business in accordance with legal standards.
  • Comply with corporate Health, Safety & Environmental regulations.
  • Prioritize quality and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience within the Automotive sector.
  • Expertise in Cost Analysis and Supplier Negotiation techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP software.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and project management experience.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
