Role Overview
As a Procurement Specialist focusing on metal commodities, you will play a crucial role in shaping our supply chain and ensuring the success of our electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the Scout team to identify and evaluate suppliers for parts and services, including conducting pre-sourcing audits to ensure new suppliers meet our standards.
- Developing and implementing sourcing strategies and long-term business plans for assigned commodities, leading the sourcing process through to contract award.
- Presenting sourcing strategies to multi-level committees to gain approval and support.
- Preparing and executing contractual documents and agreements with selected suppliers.
- Managing the program during the pre-production phase to ensure suppliers meet project requirements regarding timing, cost, and quality.
- Assessing and applying technical changes to parts and services to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
- Leading cross-functional evaluations of suppliers' readiness for mass production in collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams.
- Overseeing supplier relationships and performance metrics to ensure alignment with company goals.
Qualifications

- 2-4 years of experience in a procurement environment, specifically in developing and executing commodity strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills within the automotive sector.

- A proven track record of building and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Experience in managing supplier performance effectively.
