We are looking for an experienced

Compliance Specialist

to join our team.

As the Compliance Specialist you will assist clients and internal staff primarily on Texas residential mortgage compliance issues as well as federal mortgage compliance requirements on transaction-specific questions. You will participate as a member of the firm's existing Compliance Committee, work closely with firm Attorneys and operations management to review regulatory changes as well as work with internal and external implementation specialists and technology vendors particularly for document compliance and compliance testing.

Responsibilities: Handle client as well as internal team questions relating to transaction-specific questions; primarily with Texas compliance as well as applicable federal laws and regulations. Participate in discussions with firm attorneys and client compliance departments. Review clients' and potential clients' documents and/or document packages for compliance with state, federal and agency requirements. Provide compliance guidance on federal agency, government sponsored entity and investor specific guidelines. In conjunction with firm attorneys review regulatory or judicial updates as applicable and guide staff on quality assurance processes and supporting systems. Collaborate with internal and affiliate compliance experts regarding compliance matters affecting the firm ecosystem. Deliver training to clients and internal team members. Why join our team? 5-10 years of experience in residential mortgage lending origination compliance, with particular experience in Texas residential mortgage transactions. Ability to collaborate with and interact with clients, employees, and other attorneys. Legal research and writing, under direction and guidance of the firm's attorneys Ability to work in a fast and highly responsive mode to meet customer needs, while also applying patience and analytic depth in addressing complex operational challenges and compliance requirements. Willing to work a few days a week in our Dallas office.
