We are currently looking for a Full Time Clinical Support Specialist to join our Outpatient Services Clinical Support B team located at the 1300 Hoppe.
Summary:
Responsibilities:
* Obtain accurate patient information and update patient charts as needed
* Advise patient of any documentation that will be needed at time of check in
* Collects and verifies third party Medicare, Medicaid and or Private insurance and obtains appropriate authorization signatures
* Schedules new patient, referral and follow-up appointments, handles all cancellations, and communicates appointment reminders
* Reviews and corrects as necessary registration error reports with a supervisor
* Explains the program to beneficiaries
* Prepares reports as needed or requested
* Answers the phone, transfers calls, takes messages and screens calls per guidelines for areas served
* Provide crisis intervention and referral information for incoming phone calls
* Develops and performs detailed administrative tasks and functions to assure an accurate and timely flow of information needed for prudent administrative decisions
* Flexibility in cross-training and providing coverage for clinic to clinic
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
