The Role:
MRI Software is currently hiring a Marketing Coordinator, Events. The position reports to the Director of Marketing, Events and will be an integral part of the North American team, assisting to promote and communicate a strong brand value of the overall organization across industry tradeshows and sales channel events. This position will lead planning and execution of tradeshow events, both virtual and in person across multiple areas of business.

This position requires strong multi-tasking skills and a sense of urgency to manage deadlines with flawless execution. The marketing coordinator must be a strong communicator, customer eccentric, highly organized and able to work independently in a high-performance team environment. The candidate should have experience in event management, and a strong desire to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment. The individual must have a passion for excellence and be able to interact with all levels of the organization, including various marketing managers and sales individuals. A successful candidate must be willing to travel for on-site management, when necessary, approximately 4-6 weeks out of the year.

You Will:

  • Responsible for all aspects of program planning and execution, for assigned tradeshow programs.
  • Maintain a list of national and regional tradeshow, coordinating internal and external vendors in the design of displays.
  • Understand event expenditures and manage within departmental budget.
  • Help manage all event logistics to ensure high quality and attendee/customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure quality control and corporate approvals as needed around program execution.
  • Contribute to organization success while at trade shows to manage work schedules, manage external vendor set up with booths, as well as tear down.
  • Support and manage post tradeshow follow up, partnering with marketing team for lead retrieval and process.
  • Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and agencies as necessary on logistics, deliverables, production to ensure correct and high-quality event delivery.
  • Be constantly aware of customer event experience by creating a high energy environment with creative experiences.
  • Support team members with day-to-day event tasks and projects as requested.
You Have:
  • 1-2 years tradeshow or event management and/or marketing experience.
  • Strong project and vendor management skills; must be comfortable to contact and negotiate with vendors and partners.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a focus on details.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently as well as participate and contribute as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hands on experience with all Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and ability to train quickly on supporting software as necessary (Asana, SalesForce).
