We are looking for a Laboratory Operations Associate
As a Laboratory Support Associate your role is to support laboratory infrastructure and operations. We encourage every team member to take ownership and to contribute to our mission. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day laboratory operations, enabling all staff members to perform at their highest level.
Your role
Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
* Laboratory Maintenance & Support* Maintain clean and orderly laboratory environment* Daily cleaning and sterilization of glassware* Maintain cell culture spaces including inventories, biohazard waste, CO2, LN2* Biohazard waste monitoring and preparation for disposal* Maintain common equipment in good working order* Chemical waste disposal* Prepare common stocks of antibiotics* Prepare common stock of chemical reagents* Inventory & Supply Chain* Generate and track purchase orders* Place orders* Receive and distribute orders* Track laboratory expenditures* Enter credit card transaction receipts into online reconciliation platform* Maintain laboratory-wide inventory* Coordinate shipping and receiving* Cell Culture* Monitor and maintain inventories of cell culture supplies and reagents* Monitor and maintain inventories of CAR-T supplies and reagents* Validate new T cell batches using multi-parameter flow cytometry* Prepare T cells for CAR-T assays* Maintain comprehensive inventory of master cells lines and in-house generated cell lines* Molecular Biology* Prepare competent cells* Prepare DNA and protein gels* Prepare and submit sanger sequencing orders* Provide coverage for Director, Laboratory Operations* Other duties related to central infrastructure and operational support* Other duties as assigned* BS in biology, or a related field* 3+ years of experience as laboratory technician or in a comparable position* Strong molecular biology skills* Advanced cell culture skills, preference for candidates with primary T cell experience* Detail oriented with strong organizational skills* Enjoy routine and structure* A team player but with the ability to work independently* Proficient in MS Office and software tools* Ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities simultaneously* Positive and energetic* Value cultural diversity and able to work with people with diverse backgrounds and experiences
