Interpace Diagnostics Group is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to oversee and maintain quality-driven laboratory practices within our laboratory operations. This leadership position is responsible for managing all laboratory processes, procedures, and equipment from specimen accessioning to results delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Reviews, approves, and troubleshoots laboratory data for delivery to pathologists for final reporting in conjunction with the lab manager.
- Troubleshoots, provides technical support, and consultation for laboratory staff as needed for testing.
- Performs lab work associated with delivery of company's clinical and research services while coordinating workflow and setting laboratory staff schedule in conjunction with the lab manager.
- Develops and documents lab processes and procedures to ensure CAP/CLIA and state agency approvals.
- Assists the Laboratory Manager and Laboratory QC Supervisor in coordinating designated QC testing to ensure the validity of all lab processes to comply with GLP's, CAP/CLIA, state agency approvals, and all local, state, and federal requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution and at least 4 years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience subsequent to qualifying, with at least two years spent working in a clinical laboratory having a director at the doctoral level.
- MT or MLT (ASCP) certification preferred.
The work environment is an office setting with occasional use of stairs to access other departments. The physical demands include sitting for long periods, stooping, bending, and stretching for files and supplies, and occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.
