Job Description: Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist
Overview

Join our clients dynamic Finance Team in Johnstown, PA and play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis across our entities. Your expertise will help maintain compliance and achieve their financial goals. This is a great opportunity with a Global company.

This role works a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. This is a salary, exempt position, paid biweekly. Employees will receive a company phone, company laptop, and be eligible for hybrid WFH schedule after 6 months. In-office days are scheduled as Tuesday-Thursday, and as needed to support business initiatives, meetings, visitors, etc.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Understand each entity's financial reporting requirements and business activities to accurately record and analyze financial transactions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with the Finance Team to meet reporting deadlines and support overall team goals.
  • Daily Financial Management: Assist in daily financial operations and monthly fiscal closings by:
    • Analyzing accounts for accuracy and making necessary journal entries.
    • Reviewing and processing transactions, including employee expense reports, accounts payable vouchers, and bank transactions.
    • Completing schedules and reports promptly for management review.
    • Providing guidance to team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Software Proficiency: Learn and demonstrate proficiency in various company software applications, showcasing an above-average aptitude for their use.
  • Adaptability: Quickly and easily adapt to changes and meet time deadlines.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification is beneficial
Experience Requirements
  • 5-10 years of directly related experience, with a preference for backgrounds in manufacturing and/or US government contracting.
  • Hands-on journal entry experience is essential.
  • Corporate tax accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in software tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • QuickBooks experience is preferred.
