Reviewing accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of information. Supporting the administrative and financial systems of the organization. Essential Position Functions: Prepare agency, departmental, and consolidated financial statements as needed. Reconcile various general ledger accounts; prepare journal entries for monthly closings and year-end audits. Perform account analysis and other accounting duties as needed. Perform special projects as requested by the Vice President of Finance. Maintain agency budgets and departmental budgets including annual input and adjustments. Work with various departments regarding regular spending and budget compliance. Assist with year-end audit preparation including 990, PC, UFR, and statistical information. Respond to various requests for information. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: Qualifications: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Three (3) years of work experience. Must Haves: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Bookkeeping and accounting cycle procedures. Procedures for Massachusetts non-profit agencies. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and computer skills required. Software skills include: Excel, Word, and Blackbaud. Skills to make and verify computations with accuracy, compile statistical data, and prepare routine reports. Ability to work under time constraints. Verbal communication abilities, visual acuity to written and computer screen data, attention to detail, and manual coordination and dexterity in the operation of office equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
