Role Summary:

URBN is seeking a detail-oriented, dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic individual to join our tax team as a Senior Tax Analyst, International Tax. This candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. They should be a self-starter and have the ability to interact with all levels of personnel internally and externally.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual U.S. federal and international tax provisions (ASC 740) including calculation of schedule M-1s, reconciliation of tax payable and receivable accounts, and assessment of deferred tax assets and liabilities with an emphasis on international tax accounting.
  • Participate in the preparation of U.S. federal tax returns, foreign estimated payments and extensions, provision to return reconciliations, supporting work papers, and related research.
  • Gather data and compile information for preparation of local country tax returns within prescribed internal deadlines, including all supporting work papers and required research; coordination with external vendors on preparation of local country returns.
  • Provide support for corporate governance administrative tasks, such as preparing board meeting materials, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Direct assistance to Senior Manager, International Tax in all international tax matters including, but not limited to, audits, notices, planning and other reporting requirements.
  • Special projects, as assigned.
Role Qualifications:
  • Minimum three (3) years progressive experience, preferably in public accounting or a U.S. based multinational corporation.
  • Must have tax return preparation experience in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Must have tax provision preparation experience.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
  • In-depth income tax knowledge and experience in income tax compliance and accounting for income tax concepts. Basic understanding of transfer pricing, tax treaties, and cross-border transactions a plus;
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage tax projects efficiently;
  • Proficiency in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and general ledger concepts to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance in tax accounting;
  • Self-review skills to independently identify and correct errors;
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax filings, documentation, and compliance;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders including the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals; and
  • Familiarity with tax software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. ORACLE, CorpTax and ONESOURCE experience a plus.
