Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, benefits, compensation and performance review systems. Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of recruitment and retention. Conducts internal and external recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, interns, and temporary employees below the C-suite level. Creates recruitment strategies to draw from multiple talent pools, appeal to diverse candidates, and position AOPA as an employer of choice. Networks across the region and sector to build a talent pipeline (via social network, information interviews, relationships with organizations, events, etc.). Negotiates, prepares and extends employment offers. Main point of contact for employee relocations. Responsible for administering company compensation programs. Evaluates and analyzes salary data, determines pay grades, and conducts or participates in compensation surveys. Conducts job evaluations and ensures job descriptions are up to date. Leads employee relations activities including mediating employee concerns and ensuring all employees are treated fairly under our guidelines Develops a strong professional development curriculum that covers an array of topics and leverages multiple training delivery media. Leads discussions with staff and managers to understand the organization’s talent development needs and challenges. Fosters a performance management culture. Provide feedback and coaching to management team as needed to improve performance and engagement. Develops performance review timelines and instructions and ensures reviews are processed in a timely manner. Stays abreast of performance management trends and best practices and identifies ways to improve and streamline the process. Develops and implements an effective engagement strategy. Conducts stay and exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team to improve employee retention and job satisfaction. Deploys engagement surveys and provides recommendations to the leadership team. Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer on the design, development, and implementation of the talent review process. Partners with leaders to identify employee development opportunities following the annual talent review process. Leads the administration of various human resources plans and procedures for the company; assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Provides oversight of employee benefits, responsible for partnering with Finance and Accounting to drive key plan decisions. Evaluates, analyzes, designs, and helps maintain company’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Responsible for the HR operations and employee benefits budgets. Sets priorities; allocates resources; ensures the timely delivery of quality services; promotes continuous learning and improvement via the active participation of staff in professional development activities. Responsible for managing, coaching, and developing direct reports. Desired Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, master’s degree preferred HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred 7+ years of supervisory / management experience in leadership of Human Resources function and executing HR processes Experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics, and relationship management.
